In our last game of this series we looked at the actions of the 11th Bengal Lancers and Guides Cavalry as they tried to breakthrough Pathan lines and relive a fort. A simple setup with British getting points for units escaping and some bonus objectives along the way.
Units of Pathans were spread across two valleys and a pass between them.

The British spread our across the table and looked to both take the bonus objectives and wipe-out some Pathan units in the first valley. This was achieved but with heavy losses from Pathan shooting in the houses.

The British were able to push a few units through the pass and into the second valley, capturing a third bonus objective. Losses had been high though and the British attack was stalling, even with the addition of some reinforcements.
The British managed to get a couple of units into the second valley and the guides made it to the river but were unable to make it to the bridge. In hindsight we should have reduced the shooting a little from the houses, perhaps giving them Low Ammo so they needed to pick their shots.
